HUEG WIN.

Academics, Trips • 1 comment

After three months of pure electronics and English researching bullshit, I’m finished! My grades aren’t necessarily high, but the amount of WIN is terrific, to say the least. Here’s the result:

COMORGA (Computer Organization) - 3.5
CT-MATH (Mathematics for CSE/NE) - 1.5
ELECOMM (Basic Electronic Communications) - 4.0
ENGLRES (Basic Research Skills) - 2.5
LBYELCM (Lab for Electronic Communication) - 3.5
LBYLINC (Lab for Linear Circuits) - 3.5
LINCIRC (Linear Circuits and Applications) - 1.0

GPA: 2.618

Note: All courses are of three units, except for the two laboratory courses, with one unit each. 1.0 is the lowest passing grade, 4.0 is the highest, 0.0 is the failing grade.

During that day (which is yesterday), I get to celebrate the huge success with the people who have survived the dreadful CT-MATH subject. Therefore, I’m going to have a great vacation without any academic worries and what-not. To the people who are unaware: The whole family is going to Colorado Springs tomorrow.

And yeah, I get to meet Tekki during the course card distribution.

End-of-term report.

Academics, Designs, Technology, iPhone • 1 comment

And finally, the end of the current term has arrived! Well, sort of - I still need to demonstrate one more project, and get the [dreadful] report cards on Wednesday. After that, I’m done. The finals week was definitely a pain in the ass, but at least the examinations were all multiple choice questions, especially that unbelieveably difficult CT-MATH subject. I hope the professor still considers my four erasures. We weren’t able to demonstrate our ELECOMM project, but instead, the professor just asked us to explain it in a text message! Extremely lucky; or is it because of my project partner? Heh.

I’ve also made one design during that exhausting week. Talk about being busy. But at least, by doing lots of things like making web and graphics designs, I can finally have that iPhone people are always talking about. Just probably one or two more designs, and my iPhone goal is done. I’ve got lots of things in my wish-list, and I want to accomplish them all!

Oh, by the way, just one more thing to clarify (taken from Janine’s blog):

… the only ones that i declined was Jeric and jj (if not accepting jj’s gift was also part of this). i don’t play with people’s hearts. (Boldfaced and italicized for emphasis)

Yes, the gift was part of it. I’m a persistent person, so I attempted to give it to you. Oh, well. I guess I’m really that hopeless, eh?

Macaroni salads.

I have a question. If I’m so good in discussing random things in web logs, then why am I not doing my English Research final paper?! Its deadline is tomorrow, sheesh. Okay, I’ll probably start in thirty minutes, I promise.

And I love macaroni salads. They can’t get any better than that.

Sprinkle, here and there.

Well, I have about eight minutes left before my parents go in our room. (In case you didn’t know, which is 100% correct, they left to fetch my grandmother at the province.) So, basically, here’s what happened in one week.

I went about doing two electronics projects, in fast speed. That’s about it. And I checked my own test papers in Computer Organization and Complexity (COMORGA), as per the professor’s on-rush request. I got 54 out of a hundred on the second exam, and 101 out of a hundred for the third one. They balance each other out, I guess. And almost forgot: The take-home exams. The CT-MATH (it’s math, self-explanatory) one, even if it’s a take-home exam, it blew our heads right off! I’m so expecting another take on it, then. The one for Electronic Communications (ELECOMM) was easy, and pretty much common sense (for the average computer science plus engineering guy, that is).

All I’m doing now is my English Research (ENGLRES) final paper and the Laboratory for Linear Circuits (LBYLINC) written reports - two, to be exact. Just those, and I’m off to the final exams.

And yeah, finals start tomorrow. Life goes on so fast. My eight minutes is up, too.
